Tiny Planet is a high-end Sprinter conversion shop in Sacramento, California, founded by husband-and-wife team Denis and Sofia. The shop builds on the 144 and 170-wheelbase Sprinter and also works on the ProMaster platform, with an emphasis on smart-home technology and off-grid living systems that goes well beyond what most builders offer. Standard features on premium builds include hydronic heated floors, 12-volt undermount air conditioning, induction cooktops, compact dishwashers, built-in kitchen vacuums, and sliding toilet designs. Interiors draw from European design — named lines include Eucalyptus, Terra, Boho Desert, Bamboo, and Forest — with each build customized to the buyer. Conversion pricing ranges from $70,000 for simpler weekend setups to $200,000 for fully loaded builds with bathroom, heated floors, air conditioning, and complete kitchen. The vehicle is purchased separately. The founders tested their own engineering on a 25,000-mile round-the-world expedition in 2025, traveling across three continents with their toddler in the van they built. That trip, covered by CNN, Adventure Magazine, and Expedition Portal, serves as a real-world proof test for the systems they install in customer builds.
